We are delighted to announce the Berkshire Hockey 2020/21 Development Centre programme will commence on 25th September 2020 for girls squads and 2nd October 2020 for boys squads. Please note the revised start date for boys squads. The programme has been developed to comply with England Hockey's Step 4 Return To Play regulations, which all players and parents will have to observe. Upon registration further details of the regulations will be provided.

For these sessions to be successful, all players and parents must read and abide by Berkshire Hockey's Return to Play - Covid-19 Policy.

Dates for the outfield player training schedule are listed below, with all sessions taking place on Friday evenings and each lasting 2 hours starting at either 7pm or 7:15pm (see venue details below). There is a specialised programme for goalkeepers, which will run over a similar timeframe but on a slightly different schedule, details of which are provided following registration.

Registration for the DC 2020/21 programme is managed through England Hockey’s Player Pathway system. In order to register for the programme, please follow this link https://www.playerpathway.englandhockey.co.uk/members/sign_in. Please ensure that login credentials are retained/recorded as you will need to use these each time you use the portal. Fees for the DC programme this year are £80 per player.

The younger age groups are often heavily subscribed with a waiting list operating. If registration is made after the squad list becomes full, the player will be placed on a waiting list. Please note that that county hockey uses the England Hockey age group system, with squads based on birth year rather than school year. If when you try to regsiter the age group is not available unfortunately it means that squad is full with a waiting list operating. If this is the case, please email the BHA Registrar (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and ask to be added to the waiting list.

Formal confirmation of places on the programme, together with further details of the sessions, will made as soon as possible after registration. Anyone in a position of proven financial hardship is encouraged to apply for assistance by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to help get this DC programme going.  As a wholly volunteer run organisation we are reliant on offers of help, so please let us know if you would like to be involved in any way - contact details can be found here.
